We love Christmas time! We love all the great traditions, fun parties, yummy treats, and of course celebrating the birth of our Savior. It is a very special time of year! This year we had lots of fun, and our December was crazy busy, as always.
Since we were living in the tiny little house, we didn't have room for our big Christmas tree, so we got a little one to put up. I loved it! It was just the thing to bring the Christmas spirit into our cute little home!
Here is Payson helping Grandpa put up the Christmas lights. Good thing Daddy wasn't there, he would have freaked!
We went to Zoo lights with the Hoovers and the Stoddards. We were sad Nannie was sick so she and Pop-pop couldn't join us. We had a great time seeing all the fun lights, and even a lot of the animals. We love hanging out with our cousins!
We went and saw Santa at the River Bottoms in Provo with the Hoovers, Grandma and Grandpa Tye, and Ness. It was a cold night, but we had a good time. Payson wasn't so sure about the whole Santa thing. Love these pictures we got! :)
We also went to the Hoopernacle, which is up in Hooper by where my Grandma and Grandpa Cox live. It is a barn where this guy has built a big organ inside, and it is incredible! They do Christmas shows every year and Grandpa and Grandpa have gone for years. As it turns out, the guy that built it is Ben's brother in law, Kevin's uncle. Crazy stuff. So we all went up there to enjoy a nice Christmas show in the barn, and hear the wonderful organ that this guy built with his own two hands. Amazing! It was a lot of fun!
It was beautiful!Payson loved hearing the music and wanted so bad to go up and play it.

Christmas Eve we spent at the Lamb's. We did our traditional Nativity, where Pop-pop read the story from the Bible, and the kids acted it out. Payson was a shepherd this year and what a cute one he was!
Here is the shepherd with the baby Jesus. (Don't you love the doll the kids found to be baby Jesus?!)
So cute!
We love Nannie! She is so good to us! She gave Pays a fun John Deere truck.
After those festivities we headed over to the Tye's for the traditional pajama party in our new jammies. We just keep getting bigger on this side! We were happy to have Jack join us this year.
Payson was spoiled by his aunts who love him so much! Here is trying to open the movie Lauren gave him.
Ness read us the Christmas story book she gave him.
Christmas morning! We still get up early and run to our presents. :) We decided not to wake up Payson so it was nice to be able to just enjoy opening our presents.
For Christmas breakfast, we went back to Lamb's. It is always crazy fun on Christmas day at the Lambs! Tons and tons of presents being passed out and ripped open! We tried to take turns to so we could see what everyone got, but it was hard with the little ones. I love it, though! It is so much fun!
Not a very good picture, but I love it anyway. We are so luck to have Grandma and Grandpa Lamb so close! We love spending time with them!
Payson was spoiled by everyone!
This year we drew names, so whoever you drew you gave them a present. I drew Jaylee and I made her a bunch of bows and headbands and scarves. The flowers are all interchangeable depending on what she wants to wear. I had so much fun making them and I was so excited for her to open them!
After all that fun, we had to go back to the Tye's to talk to Terry on the phone. Terry was on his mission in New York so we got to talk to him. It was a lot of fun, especially since he was coming home in January. We were all so excited to see him.
Because we had to wake up Payson to go to the Lambs, he didn't get to open his presents until later that afternoon. It felt so weird to me! But he still enjoyed it. I think he may have been a little tired of opening presents but he hung in there. One of the things he loves playing with at Nannie's house is the kitchen. He runs to it every time we are over there and plays for hours. I debated and debated on whether to have Santa bring him a kitchen or not. It just felt so girly! You get little girls kitchen's, not little boys! But the day after Thanksgiving I found a blue one, and I was thrilled, so Santa brought him a blue kitchen. And he loved it! He was so excited!
Santa also brought him some new shoes, a movie, and a game.
That night we went over to Grandma Tye's for the get together at her house, with ALL the Tye's. As always it was a mad house, but I love it! People everywhere, Grandma walking around hollering names as she passes out gifts, and it's just chaos. But so much fun! I love my family! Grandma gave Payson a cute little toy bench. He loved it.
We had a busy Christmas driving back and forth and back and forth! Sometimes it gets old and wears us out, but it's worth it to see everyone and be there for all the parties! We knew we probably wouldn't be here for the next Christmas, so we made the best of it!
