As usual, we had a great time at the Heart Walk this year! Thanks to everyone who put so much time into it, and thanks to everyone who came to support! It was a fabulous day!

These cute ladies are very special to me. They were the first heart mom's I met at the very beginning of this long journey. Their little boys were in the PICU with Kynslee when we first arrived. It was a sweet reunion to see these amazing ladies again. Although very hard, that was a special time in my life. I know Kynslee, Jack and Luke are playing together in heaven.

The Angel Ceremony turned out beautifully. I feel like I was so busy making sure everything turned out, I didn't get to stop and enjoy it, but everyone else said it was wonderful. And I know it was. When we released the butteflies, they all just hung around for awhile before flying away. It was amazing. They landed on shirts, fingers, hands, and some didn't even want to go. It was so special to be standing together, watching these beautiful butterflies just hang around us. It was like our children were there, wanting to be close, wanting us to know they were there and feel their love. It was incredible and very touching.
I love all these families in the angel group. I feel such a connection them. There is just something about the way we can relate to each others loss and grief, that comforts me. They are very supportive and it was great to see so many of them.

My amazing mom wrote a beautiful poem that she read to start the ceremony. It was perfect. She is so talented and so great. Thanks Mom (even though she never reads this!)

I made these cute handouts for everyone in the angel group. They have a copy of the poem my mom read and a cute little butterfly with the child's name on it. I really liked the way they turned out.
The posters of the angel children were displayed for everyone to walk by and see

This year I ordered buttons to pin on our shirts. I really liked the way they turned out. I am always looking for something that sticks out to let everyone know we are there for Kynslee.

Payson was such a good boy. He fell asleep during the walk and had a nice long nap. Thanks to everyone for your help with him!

The whole group. Thank you everyone for coming! We love you!

Here is the poem my mom wrote. It was absolutely perfect. I love it.
FLY BUTTERFLY FLY
You came to us so gentle and so pure
For how long you would be here we were unsure
But we knew each day we got to share with you
Would make our lives more complete and more true
You see you taught us to love more than we know
With your broken heart you made our whole hearts grow
So as you look up to us we will give to you our heart
And promise to take care of you and always do our part
While you are here rely on us to get you through
To help you do the things that you cannot do
We know you will fly when your job here is done
And your place in the heavens you have rightfully won
But first you must let go of all the earth binding strings
That are way too heavy to carry on butterfly wings
Now our angels are up there and free from all pain
But we still feel their breath in the breeze before the rain
So fly butterfly fly and take with you our love
To each of our angels who are watching us from above
Now we look up to them with a prayer in our hearts
As they promise to take care of us and always do their part
Because you see now they are helping us get through
And doing things for us that we cannot do.
So fly butterfly fly and take with you our love
To each of our angels who are watching us from above
