The Goings On

I haven't been very good at blogging lately. It seems my time always gets filled with other, more pressing things. It's amazing how busy life gets. Also, we have all been sick the entire month of January. It has been awful. Payson and Ben got sick on New Years with a stomach bug, then I got the flu so bad I couldn't move from the couch for 7 days, then passed it to Ben and Payson. Just one thing after another. But we seem to be good right now, and I am so grateful. Good health is something I don't realize is such a blessing until I don't have it. Despite feeling completely awful, I hate the feeling of not getting anything accomplished. Anyway, we are glad to be done with that.

So recently we have made some big changes in our lives. Previously, I was working full time mostly from home, and going into the office on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and Ben was working part time for a law firm. Now, Ben is no longer working for the law firm and is staying home with Payson and I am working full time at the office. The reason for the change is that we have partnered with a telecommunications company and we have our own business, and Ben is now doing that from home. We started doing this business a couple of months ago, and it has been going really well for us. We are so excited about where it's headed and know its time for us to work at it full time. We offer internet, satellite, cell phone, landline and home security services. So if you need any of those services, think of us! It would really help us out! :)

The change has been good for us in many ways. It was getting harder and harder for me to work from home, and I needed a change of pace. So far this has been going really well. Also, my sister would watch Payson when I would go into work, and while I am so grateful for her and all she does for us, it adds another level of stress for me to worry about them at home. Now that Ben is with Payson I don't feel the need to worry as much, so that helps my stress level. I also think this time for Ben and Payson to be together will be good for both of them. And I enjoy going to work. I am so grateful I have such a great job that I love. I really love the company I work for, and especially the people I work with. I am lucky that I enjoy what I do. This job has been such a blessing for us in so many ways. When I was looking for a job before I was hired with this company, I prayed that I would find the right one for me and for our family. It took a long time and I was really discouraged, but I know I was waiting for the right one. And I really believe I found it. The Lord knows what we need and He is mindful of us. I know that. We are very blessed. We are very excited about all these changes and for our business and know it will be a great success for our family.

Some other things going on~ Ben is the secretary in the Young Mens. He loves it and the boys love him. Also, my little brother asked Ben to be his Jr Jazz coach for him and all his friends. It's been a lot of fun for both of them, and it's fun for us to go watch their games on Saturdays. Between these things and the business, Ben stays pretty busy (which is a good thing!). I just got a new calling, and I am the Stake Primary Music Director. Ya, I was just as surprised when they called me. I am excited to work with the stake, but it's a little intimidating and overwhelming. We'll see how it goes. I am still the primary chorister in my ward, too, which I am so glad. I love that calling! But they will keep me busy I am sure. I do love it, though.

Now for the most interesting part of our family~ Payson. This little boy keeps us happy and smiling every day. He is walking all over the place, getting into everything he can find, and whining and crying when he doesn't get his way. It's crazy, but so fun. He is generally pretty happy, but has a few fits during the day, mostly over not being able to play with things he shouldn't play with. But when he's happy, he is so happy. He walks around touching everything and talking and he gets so excited over who knows what, but it's adorable. He will scream and yell and talk, and he is always making us laugh. He loves to give "loves" (hugs) and kisses. He loves to tackle and jump on us if we are laying down. He still uses sign language and keeps learning new signs. He talks all the time and loves to walk around with the phone up to his ear jabbering away. We think he is just the cutest kid and love him so much.

Life is good. I am so grateful for that. We are fortunate to have what we do. Every day is fun just being together and I love it. The only thing missing, and will always be missing, is my baby girl. I miss her a lot, but I feel her close. Payson loves to point at all the pictures in the house and will look at me and say "Hmm?" and I tell him who everyone is. He especially loves to point to the pictures of Kynslee. He knows his sister. It's weird to think that she would have started sunbeams in primary this year. It's hard to think of those things. At work we started talking about scrapbooking and they wanted to see the ones I made, so I brought in what I have made so far for Kynslee. I loved talking about her and showing her off through the pictures. I wanted to tell everyone about her. It made me feel really good and really close to her. I loved it.

Anyway, that is what the Lamb Fam has been up to lately. It's not much, but it's perfect for me.
