For Christmas, my parents gave us kids tickets to Six Flags. We finally went a couple of weeks ago, and it was so much fun. We had a blast. We drove to St George, stayed the night Friday, got up and drove the rest of the way to California on Saturday morning. We stopped and visited Braden's mission president, and spent Saturday afternoon with them. They were so nice and such great people. Saturday night we drove around the placed where Braden served his mission. It was fun to hear him tell about all the stories and experiences. It made Ben really want to go to Georgia and do the same thing, so we started planning another vacation! Sunday we went and saw the Redlands temple, and went to a ward Braden served in. Everyone remembered him and had lots of great things to say about him. Everywhere we went, everyone knew who Elder Tye was. He is a legend there, and he did great things during his two years. It was fun to get to know this side of Braden and to hear about how he was when he was gone. Sunday afternoon a family Braden taught had us over for dinner. They were so nice and so giving. They made us a feast and it was delicious! Again, it was fun to hear the stories they told us about good old Elder Tye. We also went and saw another family before heading back to our hotel. Then, Monday was the whole reason for the trip. We got up early and drove a couple of hours to Six Flags (we stayed in Riverside). We wanted to get there and get in line. It paid off too, because we were the first in line. It was such a fun day! And it was a great day to be a theme park- it was a Monday, and it was a little cold, so it kept the crowd away. We were able to ride all the "big" roller coasters at least once and walk on to a lot of the rides. It was a blast! Payson was an angel all day. He just hung out in his stroller and loved it. He is such a great baby. He is so chill and content. Love him! We took turns watching him and rotating, and it worked out great. Such a fun day. Then Tuesday, we made the trek back home. It was an awesome little getaway and a much needed break from everything. Thanks Mom and Dad for everything! It was so much fun!
California here we come!
Thanks to my sister who helped out a ton with Payson! He did pretty good, but got tired of his seat after awhile. Good thing he loves his aunt Lauren!

He fell asleep reading. :)
Cool baby
Such a great family- so generous, so nice and so fun!
Some of the coasters

X2 was one of our favorite rides. It took you up laying down backwards, and then when it dropped off, you swung forward, and the whole time you were swinging every which way. It was awesome.

Where did Braden serve? Mike served in So Cal and we have done the whole mission thing in that area!! His best friend also served down there in a different mission (which we have also visited) I wonder if either one is the same as Braden. Looks like you guys had a blast!! I have only been to the six flags in St Louis but I have heard great things about the Cali one!! I hear you and Kerra are wanting to come visit I really hope you do!! You will have a free place to stay!!
How fun! You have such a cute family! It looks like Payson loved the rollercoasters :)
So fun! Glad that you had such a great time getting to make those visits and have wonderful family time.
The only time I have been to that Six Flags was when I was 16, so I am sure it has changed alot in the past 20+ years LOL!
