For Spring Break we wanted to do something fun, but we are on a tight budget and the weather was horrible. All the plans we made just weren't working out and I was discouraged. But it's always fun to just be together. We love it when daddy is home, and we were so glad to have some time with him!
We did make it to Kansas City one day. We went with our good friends the Mcilraths's and went to The Legend's, a nice outdoor shopping area. It was cold, but still fun to walk around. We went to dinner at a bbq place that was really good. Then we went and walked around Cabelas for awhile. Payson and Ben had fun playing with the toy rifle range.

Then we ended the night at Russell Stover's where we got some yummy ice cream and delicious chocolate treats! {My fav are the marshmallow and carmel eggs!} It was a really fun day with good company.
I took advantage of having Ben home and we starting getting all the baby stuff out. Ben put up the crib and changing table and we went through all the stuff we had packed away. We didn't get all the way done, but was it was nice to get a start on things. We started realizing how much time we didn't have until the baby came! Time flies when you are having fun.
Payson and I went swimming at an indoor pool in Lawrence with Sally and the kids. We had a lot of fun. Payson loved it. He keeps talking about going back to Lawrence to swim.
It snowed that week, which isn't a usual occurrence for Topeka {although we have got more than normal this year}. We woke up on Sunday to a ton of snow and they cancelled church. That was a first for us, but it was nice! We had a nice relaxing day and Payson and I even went out and played in the snow.
Don't mind that my pants look weird- that's what happens when you're 7 months pregnant and trying to fit into your normal size snow pants. :)
So despite the cold weather we had a fun week! Not really what I had planned, but I'm getting used to that. :)
